From the flat plains of the Serengeti to the towering giants of the Andes, the world is full of wonder and astonishing beauty.

The vastness can be difficult to capture on 35mm camera; the movement, shifting light, smells and sounds. All these things are what make the true panorama experience.

A long hike through an untouched environment to reach a summit or a view point is always vastly rewarding, even if photographic conditions are less than perfect.

Photography gives one a reason to journey to these places (should one require a reason) and bring back a tiny snippet of what the world can look like outside of the artificial confines of our cities and towns.

There are deserts so vast and mountains so high that it is hard to imagine the hand of man touching and damaging them; I hope that they stay that way.
